Whites, and question on algorithm used #62

I noticed that whites are often not treated very well by this algorithm. Perhaps its just a more noticeable error or perhaps its an algorithmic one.

Are you using a particular academic algorithm here or are you using a home grown one? Not sure if the whites are a bug of your code or just a bug in the best algorithm we have in the business.

It's a feature, see my response on #49.
The algorithm used is a Javascript port of the Leptonica MMCQ algorithm.
