This event will fire on scroll when running iOS 8 and Safari. Does not fire in Chrome with iOS 8. Tested on iPad, iPad mini, iPhone.

I've found this issue on Android KitKat 4.4.4 using Firefox.

The resize event is fired when the topbar of the browser is hiding on mobile (iOS and Android).
It's not related to this plugin in anyway.

I do believe it is related to the plugin... Since this plugin is about window resizing. There must be a way to implement a solution for cross-device compatibility. The behaviour may be an intended one by the browsers, however, it makes for horrendous user experience and usability. Any solutions would be appreciated.
