System configuration design issue on mobile devices

I have some design issues in system configuration s3ction of backend. See screen shots from my galaxy s4:

Is the backend-theme supposed to be repsonsive?

@igor-svizev and @amenk , thank you for reporting this issue to us! As far as I know, making backend theme responsive is not in our plans so far. Unfortunately, this means that you may experience other UI issues when viewing backend on your mobile devices.

The backend should still work on mobile devices without any consideration for responsive design. Until Magento creates an appropriate view for smaller screens, it's fundamentally required that the desktop-driven admin is usable with pinch/zoom. If there is a layout bug it should be investigated.

Version 2.0 and we're not considering mobile admin compatibility. As @brendanf says compatibility doesn't even necessarily mean a responsive site or mobile specific view. It just means - not broken.

That being said, this seems to be in direct contradiction to what we're told at every Magento conference. We should be going further and enabling a store owner to continue to manage their site and offer customer service on any size device rather than hindering them.
