Nerdem Ipsum is a version of Lorem Ipsum using nerd words instead of incomprehensible Latin phrases. At its core sits a python script (called db_scraper.py) that uses installed phrases with some natural language substitution phrases and then selects words from a linked clearDB database hosted on Microsoft Azure. The substitutions are not completely random! The result is a paragraph of comprehensible, and humorous sentences. We also plan on supporting an ability to do mad libs through a web app that is under construction. You can find that at http://nerdemipsum.pythonanywhere.com/ If you just want some humor, download the db_scraper.py file and just run it under Python 2. The database will automatically be pulled from, and on the console will be your Nerdem Ipsum paragraph.
