Environment

  • Xcode version: Xcode 12.2
  • iOS version: iOS 14.0
  • Devices affected: iPhone X
  • Maps SDK Version: main at 511e58d

Observed behavior and steps to reproduce

  1. Pan close to either Antarctica or the Arctic Circle.
  2. Swipe quickly towards that continent.
  3. The map quickly scrolls east or west.

Gif showing the map being swiped

Expected behavior

The map should rebound north or south, depending on whether near Antarctica or the Arctic.

Notes / preliminary analysis

While more noticeable when the map's pitch is not 0, it can be observed when the map is not tilted.
