PubKey Service is an educational project (at least for the original author) that aims to be free and easy to use open-source tool for applications that use public keys. The service is used to share public keys used for secure encryption and verification of messages. This project was created for the needs of NES Messenger, which is available here: https://github.com/marcinbor85/nes. At this moment it is running on https://microshell.pl/pubkey domain as a default public keys provider for NES Messenger.
Basically, PubKey Service is a simple database with public REST API. It allows to securely register users with their public keys (by email confirmation). Thanks to public keys, everyone can encypt and verify messages securely. Anyone can access this public keys database.
There are a lot of ideas to implement and expand this project. If you feel that You could participating, don't hesitate for a moment. It's great fun and you can learn a lot.
