This repository contains an extensive base for building WordPress sites.
The base includes but is not limited to:
- Configuration to integrate object-oriented PHP files with css, sass, and JavaScript using primarily the npm package wp-scripts.
- Files under supervision of the wp-scripts module are in the 'assets' theme folder.
- Integrated assets include the images used for custom content, Bootstrap 5.2, animate.css as well as JavaScript support fpr
- Implementation of glightbox for the many interactive full-screen photo galleries on the site.
- Implementation of Email.js for sending emails from the contact form.
- Visitor approval of site cookies, terms and conditions.
- Scroll to top functionality for every page.
- Customization of the signup and login page.
- Most of the site functionality can be found in the 'inc' folder, which include:
- Customization to exclude subscribers from seeing an admin bar when they login to the site.
- Registered menu locations so that users can adjust menu content on the fly.
- Custom search functionality and repeatable page banners.
- The custom content for the site resides primarily in the 'template-parts' folder
- Both carousel elements from the front page along with the Jumbotron.
- The extensive about page content asd well as the search display.
The vast majority of what appears here has been derived from open source materials, websites, YouTube videos. In the vain opf freely sharing code, this project along with the assets is being shared under open source license. Please read the license before using this material.
