Hey, working on integrating Urchin with the 600 Series Uploader for Medtronic pumps. First pass is going great and loving the rapid availability of data on the watchface and for offline use.

I have sgv, bolus and basal as well as event specific status text ie temps / suspends / running dual and square combos that can be pushed - which is nice and allows the watchface to be a extension of the pump and more then a sgv viewer.

What I'm wondering is can Urchin prefs be read? This is mainly to get the scale component for scaling the basal data.

Also when I enter a different menu on the pebble and go back to the watchface is there a way of getting a startup call so that data can be refreshed from the uploader? as it can be blank until the next sgv update.

And a few requests:

Sightly bigger fonts for the status text - hard to read them at times.

Simple alarm reciever for controler clients like this to send an alarm msg + vibe seq.

"app mode" in the prefs for the endpoint.

Thanks!

Quiet round these parts ;)

Sorted out a way of getting the watchface to refresh by intercepting acks from the pebble JS and resending data when the ID is different to the transaction ID that I'm using. A bit hacky but works for now.

The Urchin support is now part of the uploader and works well.

2 questions :

  1. How do you manage to get so much info on the screen? free text? what do you use as code?
  2. I used some of the already set up options, IOB & COB, Uploader battery and the date. But they quickly go away! I'm left with an empty space. If I reload the pebble app on the phone and edit the urchin watchface, they come back, but 5 minutes later they dissapear again!!!

Thanks for all your help.

Can you open an issue on uploader project page for this. Please provide screenshots of your settings in the urchin app and in the uploaders urchin settings. There are so many ways to customise this and really need to see what your doing.

The Pebble-Urchin settings must have a blank nightscout url. The Pebble-Urchin settings for status text are not used and only the size of the space is set there. All other status text is provided for and setup in the uploader.

I just saw this... I figured when you said to set it through the uploader page that I was going backwards through things. I had put the phone on wifi to download the urchin face and was configuring it directly through pebble.
It is working now, Directly from the uploader.

Thanks again

Last thing, will BWP/DIYApps style temp basal recommendations be included? That is one thing that I loved from xDrip+, although the recommendation would mostly be to up the temp basal and almost never to set it to below the regular basal.

Thanks for all the help!!

Probably not but maybe someone wants this and wants to develop it. You can still use xDrip in combination with all this.

To install, enable Developer Mode in the Pebble app on your phone, then open this: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mddub/urchin-cgm/master/release/urchin-cgm.pbw
file in the Pebble app.
