Flows

Guided stories over your diagrams

• Author flows with ordered steps, each highlighting elements and connections and carrying its own title and description.
• Pick highlights straight from the canvas instead of typing names.

Playback

• Prev / next / auto-play with a bounded interval stepper (1s–8s), repeat toggle, and a minimap for jumping between steps and choosing branch paths.
• Focus transitions keep cards framed, and playback controls stay available while editing.

Portable YAML and sharing

• Import and export flows as tld-flow v1 YAML, via the UI or the CLI.
• Complete export pulls in the elements and connectors a flow needs; import can create them in a brand-new view.
• Copy YAML to clipboard, download as <name>.flow.yaml, or generate a share link that captures an immutable snapshot of the flow and its resources.
• Limits: 1 MiB input, 1,000 steps, 26 paths per branch, 8 levels of nesting.

New CLI: tld flow

• tld flow list, inspect, create, update, delete, import, export, plus step and branch subcommands.

Also new

• Flows are reachable from the Explore toolbar.

Improvements

• tld import and sync now accept connector tags directly, instead of requiring a follow-up tld update connector ... tags.
• Long connector labels truncate more gracefully and show full text on hover.
• Sync state and IDs are now isolated per target.
• Canvas hover and reconnect handles no longer trigger behind floating panels and overlays.

Upgrade notes

• Flows are stored in the database; the new migration runs automatically on startup (SQLite and Postgres).
• Existing workspaces need no changes — flows live alongside workspace YAML rather than inside elements.yaml / connectors.yaml.
• The portable flow format is versioned and separate from tld import documents; use tld flow import --schema for the exact fields of your installed version.
