The flowplace is a tool for individuals, communities and organizations to build wealth together by using free currencies.
The flowplace is a standard rails app. Currently it runs on rails 2.3.8 or greater. It requires some gems, and some of it’s plugins are stored in the repository as submodules. Here are the installation instructions that should get you up and running assuming sqlite3 for your database (which is the default in the database.yml):
sudo gem install sqlite3-ruby nokogiri gravtastic git clone git://github.com/zippy/flowplace.git flowplace cd flowplace git submodule init git submodule update cp config/database.yml.example config/database.yml cp config/flowplace_config.rb.example config/flowplace_config.rb rake db:schema:load Then, to create an admin account so you can log in: script/console u = User.new(:user_name => 'admin', :first_name => 'Your', :last_name => 'Name',:email=> 'your@reale-mail-here.com') u.enabled=true u.set_privs(%w(accessAccounts admin assignPrivs circle createAccounts currency view_annotations)) u.save u.attempt_set_password(:password=> "password", :password_confirmation=>"password")
If you are installing on a Debian based Linux (including Ubuntu) you will need to first run:
sudo apt-get install libxslt1-dev libxml2-dev
otherwise the nokogiri gem won’t install.
If you are installing on Mac OS X you may also need to install the libxml2 library to get nokogiri working. Assuming you have brew (github.com/mxcl/homebrew) installed, this might work for you:
brew install libxml2 brew link libxml2 cd /temp wget xmlsoft.org/libxml2/libxslt-1.1.26.tar.gz tar -zxvf libxslt-1.1.26.tar.gz cd libxslt-1.1.26 ./configure –prefix=/usr/local/Cellar/libxslt/1.1.26 –with-libxml-prefix=/usr/local/Cellar/libxml2/2.7.8 make sudo make install gem install nokogiri – –with-xslt-dir=/usr/local/Cellar/libxslt/1.1.26
The flowplace is released under the GPL license.
