Guidance site v2/v3 switching

Summary

How will users seamlessly switch between v2 and v3 guidance sites?

💬 Description

When we release v3, there will still be a use case for v2 content. Users need a mechanism to firstly raise awareness, and also switch between each version.

Dev Outputs

V2 site

• Add info banner to V2 site (see designs)
• Add link in footer that states Version 3.0 link (see designs)

V3 site

• Add link to footer for Versions that direct users to the versions page
• Update versions page to have link(s) to previous versions - work with Designers if needed for context and wording
• See anything additional on designs page

Additional info

Previously the alert component has been used for this. Do we want to repeat this or take another approach?

After refinement session with the team, it has been decided there needs to be more research and work involved. For instance an alert banner on the V2 is good but the other piece is going from V3 to V2, which could be a drop down etc. Therefore is moved back to design.
