protoc-jar

Protocol Buffers protobuf compiler - multi-platform executable protoc JAR and API. Available on Maven Central: https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/com/github/microcks/protoc-jar/3.21.8/

This is a Microcks dedicated fork of the excellent https://gitter.im/os72/protoc-jar library. Our goal is to only embed the more recent versions of the library to allow support of Mac M1 architecture and reduce jar file size. This is not a drop-in replacement of the original protoc-jar lib!

Simple convenience JAR that embeds protoc compiler binaries for Linux, Mac/OSX, and Windows, providing some portability across the major platforms. At runtime the library detects the platform and executes the corresponding protoc binary. Supports embedded protoc versions 3.21.8, and any protoc version available for download from maven central
