Can anyone help ? QnA Editor in Composer Forces Questions to be markdown even though I enter HTML Tags, I dont want markdown.

When I manage my QnA KB from within Composer everything is always forced to Markdown. if I enter it as HTML Tags it gets converted to markdown.

This is very painful when using MS Teams as a channel since it does not gracefully handle images well. you NEED to specify a height & width in order to properly show an image. otherwise with Markdown it ALWAYS converts images to a square of 250px by 250px

in QnAMaker if I only use HTML tags, it keeps the format as HTML and images display correctly in MS Teams.

I note in the Composer QnA KB when you view code (see screenshot) it has a tag forcing 'markdown'.(see image above)
if I remove this, then I get an error at runtime. is there an alternative to this i.e. a way to force plain text?

Answering my own question ... with any QnA cards with images or tricky formatting, I implemented a QnA dialog flow that used adaptive cards and fed the QnA answer into an LG template instead.

1. generic adaptive card for standard markdown that works in MS Teams
2. a specific adaptive card that accepted QnA answers as partial Adaptive cards with the correct formatting for MS Teams.

This works with MS Teams, images display correctly and it solved my problem.
