I want to add a new button and new search term via an extension. But extensions documetation not mentioning about it anywhere. I don't want to study whole vscode sources to change findInput. Can you please implement an option to add custom find terms via an extension and make vscode more hackable. Thank you!

Hy! I have published my extension. If you implement this feature soon I can make my extension very handy. Also other developers can implement language based search terms with the help of this feature. Thank you!

We try to keep VS Code lean and we think the functionality you're asking for is great for a VS Code extension. Maybe you can already find one that suits you in the VS Code Marketplace. Just in case, in a few simple steps you can get started writing your own extension. See also our issue reporting guidelines.

Happy Coding!
