If you have a development license, you can edit X++ code at any customer location by using the client configuration utility to establish your credentials.

Open the configuration utility. Click Start > All Programs > Administrative Tools > Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration.

Verify that the configuration target and configuration that you want to modify are selected.

On the Developer tab, in the Development license code box, type a valid development license code. Retype the code in the Confirm license code box, click Apply, and then click OK.
