Mixxx doesn't start on MacOS 10.4

I downloaded the Mixxx 1.6 Beta2 .dmg for Intel macs, unpacked and dragged the .app to my /Applications, but when I click on it it doesn't start.
Digging minimally further, this is what is happening:

Axkbk:~ kousu$ /Applications/Mixxx.app/Contents/MacOS/mixxx 
Bus error

This is a known issue. At the moment our Mac beta builds have been done on Leopard and they don't seem to run under Tiger. We're working on this right now and the next beta release will work for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience, in the meantime you'll have to use 1.5.0.
