Some radio DJs only want the microphone to be mixed with the Shoutcast output and not Mixxx's local master output.

no audio in your headphones when talking during a broadcast is essential.

Along the same lines, automatically muting (or greatly attenuating) the master output altogether while the microphone is active while broadcasting would be very helpful. This needs to be configure-able though because a DJ who is playing to a crowd and broadcasting would NOT want this behavior.

I'm with trev on this. Studies have shown that all it takes is a slight delay to make almost impossible to talk.

Workaround: select no master output device, choosing only headphones, then enable PFL on all decks. (The mic is still routed to the broadcast and you won't hear it in the headphones.)
You can also map a MIDI controller button to a script function that toggles PFL on all decks to achieve an all-mute function.

PFL = Pre-Fader Listen, a.k.a. Headphone cue. See the wiki page on MIDI Scripting for how to write a controller script. You'd need to make a script function that toggles the "pfl" MixxxControl on all available decks, which would have the effect of muting them in your headphones.

Hi,

I would suggest you an idea, because microphone's feedback is auto-on. Can we have the choice to put it or not on main output? when we use streaming, it's a little bit disturbing

thanks
