Why/User Benefit/User Problem

ProtonMail is a popular and privacy-focused mail service, however their app is not listed as an option in "Mail App" under settings.

Acceptance Criteria (how do I know when I’m done?)

ProtonMail should appear in the list of options under "Mail App".

As https://support.apple.com/en-gb/104975 explains, the option to set a default mail application system-wide should now exist in i(Pad)OS. Consequently, why does this manually maintained list of choices exist - can't it adhere to the OS preference?
