The functionality of the 3ds MAX Exporters is essential, especially the Animation script considering Collada does not support Skeletal Animation (as far as addressable bone positions and blending, etc.)
However, none of the current MAX exporter scripts handle smoothing at all well.
Could someone possibly look into this as I would imagine a number of users of THREE construct their models in MAX and need smoothing groups to be correctly implemented.
p.s. also change the 'transparency' property of material to 'opacity' :)
