Have you tried CTRL+L/CTRL+SHIFT+L?

It tries to do code folding with a little preview image. You can disable the preview image in the preferences.

I'd be curious to hear what you like and dislike about it!

Hmmm

Tried that but it seems to make things blurry and ugly looking. I would prefer arrows in the gutter like in most editors as it's a well known standard and instantly recognizable.

Instead perhaps have a popover on the gutter icons suggested which shows the hidden content as it means no space is taken up as when you collapse code you generally don't want to see it.

Agreed with everything. Code folding will be redone by v1.0.
