Inspect element FTW! I found out that on the inline equations that weren't rendering, the text was always inside a paragraph tags (i.e.
<p></p>
), luckily there's a workaround to force the markdown renderer from putting text inside paragraph tags as described by this unrelated github issue simply by putting<div>
tags with the text.This solves #1, but there are still some unanswered questions about when text will be put in
<p>
tags (because it's not the case with ordered lists<ol>
), and this is somewhat of a hacky solution.
