Releases: NaveenKharwar/ValetUI
Release list
v1.4.1
Fixed
- About page now shows the correct version number — Info.plist was using a hardcoded 1.2.0 instead of the build variable $(MARKETING_VERSION); version is now derived from the Xcode project's MARKETING_VERSION at build time
Changed
- CONTRIBUTING.md expanded with project architecture, layer rules, naming conventions, concurrency model, shell command safety rules, path resolution guide, security patterns, feature-addition guides, and test coverage map
Full Changelog: v1.4.0...v1.4.1
v1.4.0
New Features
- Services panel moved from main menu into Preferences for a cleaner menu bar experience
- Inline status notices when starting, stopping, or restarting services (busy → success/failure → auto-clear)
- New Diagnostics panel in Preferences showing service health checks and recent nginx/PHP-FPM error log tail
- Services that require root (e.g. dnsmasq) now auto-escalate — opens Terminal with the correct
sudocommand instead of silently failing - MySQL now appears in the services list with live status
Bug Fixes
- Fixed dnsmasq always showing red — was checking TCP port 53; dnsmasq uses UDP, now uses process check instead
- Fixed PHP-FPM status showing green after a crash — stale socket files were causing false positives; now uses
pgrepon the FPM config path - Fixed Preferences window not being resizable
- Fixed Preferences navigation showing as overflow tab bar on macOS 26 — replaced TabView with NavigationSplitView
v1.3.1
Fixed
- WordPress auto-login no longer fails with "No administrator found" when WP-CLI prints PHP deprecation/warning notices to stdout before the user ID — those lines are now filtered out before parsing
Full Changelog: v1.3.0...v1.3.1
1.3.0 — WordPress one-click admin login
What's new
WordPress one-click admin login
Expand any WordPress site in the Sites panel to find two new actions:
- Login as Admin — generates a one-time login token via WP-CLI, opens your default browser, and lands you directly in wp-admin already authenticated
- Copy Login URL — same token, copied to clipboard so you can paste it into any browser (great for cross-browser testing)
Tokens are single-use and expire after 2 minutes. The feature auto-installs a small valetui-local-dev.php mu-plugin on first use for sites not created by ValetUI's WordPress installer — safe to keep, has no effect on production.
Works with any local WordPress site (detected via wp-config.php). Requires WP-CLI (brew install wp-cli).
Bug fix
WP-CLI commands now correctly resolve the MySQL Unix socket when invoked from the app process, where localhost does not automatically map to the socket (unlike in a shell session).
Requirements
- macOS 14.0+
- Laravel Valet
- WP-CLI (
brew install wp-cli) — for WordPress login feature only

What's New

- Preferences pickers now show instant confirmation ("Default terminal is set to iTerm2")
- About tab added to Preferences with app icon, version, and GitHub links
Terminal integration rewrite
- Auto-discovers installed terminals by bundle ID — iTerm2, Warp, Ghostty, Alacritty, WezTerm, Kitty, and more found wherever installed (no hardcoded paths)
- Always opens a new window instead of a tab
- Uses
NSWorkspace+ a temp.commandbash script — no AppleScript, no escaping issues, works with every terminal - Share Publicly now sources
~/.zshrcso PATH (including Composer'svaletbinary) is set correctly
Fixes
- All rows now fully clickable —
.contentShape(Rectangle())applied everywhere - PHP version picker inside site detail fully clickable (arrow and empty space now work)
- Preferences window always comes to front when opened
- About tab copyright year and version are now dynamic from bundle
