In preparation for nuget package upload of it.
Main reason is because consumers of it would need to suffer this warning[1] if they incorporate fsx as a submodule, but would be fine if they use it via NuGet. [1] dotnet/fsharp#14216
There's no need to use $pwd, which is not crossplatform anyway.
