About The Project

The project called Global News is an website which aims to display dynamic data in portal by providing the latest news for different categories. This website is simple to use, as all you need is to open it and explore the menu categories which provide data from API, such as news. In this website you can navigate into different pages which are “Home”, “About Us”, “Contact Us”, “News”, “World”, “Politics”, “Finance”, “Economics”, “Business”, “Sport”, “Beauty”, “Music”, “Food”, “Travel”, “Tech”, “Science”, “Fun” and “Search”.

This project started from scratch where I worked and completed, also I made some improvements in the front-end side of Web Development, such as creating of the API endpoint for news data, fetching data from API for all News category, developing and designing all News pages with data, handling the API for News data, developing and designing the banner, cards and many other components with data, providing data on specific page as much as it can, developing and designing the Search page with functionality to filter data and then get all the required results, also all pages are supporting two different languages such as English and Albanian by using a flag dropdown, full compatibility with all screen sizes and responsive design, also more functionalities such as smooth scroll and scroll up experience, adding transitions to animation in different area and many more things.

Getting Started

By getting started with the project, first you need to take a look at the required Prerequisites and after that the Installation steps.

Prerequisites

In order to open this website is required to have an IDE or Code Editor (Visual Studio Code) and an Browser (Google Chrome).

Installation

1. Download the code or Clone the repo:

   git clone https://github.com/ndriqimlahu/global-news.git
   

2. Open the repo folder with your IDE or Code Editor.
3. Launch the website with your Browser by clicking in the index.html file.
4. Also you can open the other pages which are with extension .html file.
