Selecting beneficiaries doesn't seem to be that useful to me, you can create a PR if you really want this.

I select the first available slot because every center may have different slot names, so a bit difficult to provide this as an option. Also afaik, you can go anytime of the day, regardless of the slot that you got.

Agreed to not complicate by giving selection for time slots as it is not at all required as of now. Almost all centres are ready to dose if you have booked the slots.
In case of selecting beneficiaries will be helpful when people start getting available for 2nd dose and all of the registered members would not like to go at once to avoid any effect of vaccine. Longer time such option could be helpful.
Anyway you have done a quite lot till now. Appreciate your time and efforts.

A workaround is to simply book for all beneficiaries and then cancel some of them from Cowin.
