#What is VoxelGlobe? VoxelGlobe is a web page interface to the Vision Systems, Inc. (VSI) processing algorithms. VoxelGlobe consists of multiple applications, each performing a task for the user. The tutorial covers the ingestion of a new dataset, ordering an SFM model, and viewing the camera in a virtual globe, building a voxel world, generating a point cloud and viewing point clouds.

VoxelGlobe is tested using the latest version of Firefox (49.0.1), but any recent version should work. Chrome compatibility seems to work, but is not guaranteed, and IE is not tested. For best results, use the latest Firefox. WebGL (part of HTML 5.0 standard) is used for visualization, and thus OpenGL needs to be functioning on your web browser for proper visualization, this is not usually a problem (WebGL can be tested here])

#Getting Started

  1. Installing the VoxelGlobe Server
  2. Starting the VoxelGlobe Server
  3. VoxelGlobe Client Tutorial
  4. Collecting data for voxel worlds
