Typesetting Changes After Searching for a Word Causes Visual Bug

When you navigate to a searched word, it is highlighted. This highlight disappears when you move forward or backward a page. If you change the typesetting after navigating to a searched word, the highlight remains where the word used to be, not where it is now. To remove this broken highlight, you must move forward or backward a page (as usual).
