Sometimes page turning lags #67

I'm investigated with Claude a bit maybe it's not because of this but could it be that the Kobo goes into power saving right after a page turn is computed but before it’s shown on screen? |

I have seen this double-flip issue in the past when I was running NickelClock (https://github.com/shermp/NickelClock) in the base reader, and thought it might have to do with a screen update for the current time colliding with the page flip. I later used the clock in Kobo Tweaks (https://github.com/redphx/kobo-tweaks), and did not have the double-flip issue. I don't know if any information can be gleaned from the difference between how those two are written. |

The issue here is a database write happening on the main thread. It's a silly mistake: I added the database writes last-minute and those aren't happening asynchronously, so they can block the main thread if storage is slow (which it usually is after leaving power saving mode) which is especially bad on SD cards. This will be fixed in beta 5. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I have a Kobo Clara BW with the latest v4 firmware.
Sometimes very rare case turning a page lags. Tapping then nothing happens I thought I didn't tapped properly so tap again and two page turned this time.
Can't really reproduce in a definitive way but happened multiple times in a few hours of reading.
