Create a Simple C# Console Application

Note: You don't have ask permission to start solving the issue or get assigned, since these issues are supposed to be always open for new contributors. The actions-user bot will reset the file back to previous state for the next contributor after your commit is merged. So you can just simply start working with the issue right away!

Navigate to the tasks/c#/easy/HelloUser directory from the root of your project.

Then open a file called Program.cs.

Description

Your task is to create a Simple C# console application that prompts the user for their name and displays a greeting message with the user's name.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • The application should compile without errors.
  • Upon running the application, it should prompt the user for their name.
  • After entering a name, the application should display a greeting message with the user's name.

Expected Output:

Running the program should have an output similar to the following:

Please enter your name:
James
Hello, James!

To test the program you have to first make sure you are in the right directory:

cd tasks/c#/easy/HelloUser

Then you can run the program with the command:

dotnet run

If the program works as requested in the task, you are ready to make a pull request!
