HashKit

This project provides a simple command-line tool for generating hash values of user input strings using basic hash algorithms such as MD5, SHA1, SHA256, and SHA224. The implementation is based on the pseudocode from corresponding Wikipedia pages, making it straightforward to understand and modify, although not the most optimized solution.

Usage

$ make
$ ./hash "abc"

Message is: abc
MD5 digest: 900150983cd24fb0d6963f7d28e17f72
SHA1 digest: a9993e364706816aba3e25717850c26c9cd0d89d

$ ./hash "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"

Message is: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog
MD5 digest: 9e107d9d372bb6826bd81d3542a419d6
SHA1 digest: 2fd4e1c67a2d28fced849ee1bb76e7391b93eb12
