Not sure how many will be reading this, but comments and feedback are welcome :)

Context for the name change proposal is this initial discussion.

  1. marginalia is the name of another popular Emacs package
  2. As an English word, "marginalia" is not easily recognised as meaning "marginal notes" or "comments", especially for non-native English users (me included) so the name really does not matter
  3. "marginalia" is very long as the prefix in the program, org-marginalia takes up many spaces in the code

If 2 holds true, the name can be anything, really.
And I would like to have a shorter name (point 3).
Point 1 is not really my concern, as there is no overlapping functionality between marginalia.el and org-marginalia -- but there are people who point out potential confusion, which I would like to care about. I also have respect for Daniel Mendler, the author of marginalia.el.

So I thought I could name my package anyway I would like:

Org-HANA: Org to Highlight & ANnotate Any text file (HANA)
org-hana · o·hana
flower 花 (hana) in Japanese | o-hana, with the prefix "o" makes the tone soft and polite

A new name proposal: instead of Org-HANA, I'm leaning toward Org-remark. All the changes have been done. Testing it.
