N-Trig Touch Pen - Works great but I have no idea how to configure it! #8

The N-Trig pen works amazingly well and in tandem with the multitouch gestures via touchegg!

The pen can cover near the screen and both the face buttons on the pen work with the nearer-tip button acting as mouse button one and the other acting as a middle mouse button. I'd very much like to change that so the near button is the middle mouse and the far button is the right mouse button since I tend to paste more often than I open context menus. The purple top button is bluetooth and so doesn't currently have a hope of working. If it ever does, I'll probably try and make it do something cool like launch the onscreen keyboard or a visual application selector.

Pressure sensitivity and responsiveness is really good when doodling in mypaint but the eraser does nothing.

Can you tell how you were able to get multitouch gestures on the touchscreen?

Can you tell me how you got the buttons on the pen working?

@FernandezR they just work. I have not determined how to configure them. The top button is bluetooth and doesn't work.

I'm struggling to get the select and erase buttons to work as well. Did you do anything else before they started working? (Trying to eliminate things here).

I've only managed to get the upper side button working.
The lower one doesn't even print in xinput test

I submited the packages on aur.. xf86-input-evdev-git-surfacepen3

With me, the pen loses pressure. Or rather, it doesn't paint.
I've tried krita and my paint.
