While scale overrides are rarely used on position scales, this might be relevant in the future if we use them to support dual-scale charts #147. Currently the maybeIntervalK and maybeIntervalMidK (and probably maybeDenseInterval, the implicit bin transform?) drop the scale override option if the input channel is specified as a {value, interval} object.
