I don't know if this is a bug or not.

I've installed exa from apt on Debian Testing, version 0.10.1-1

I use fish shell, but exa completions are not loading. There is not /usr/share/fish/completions/exa.fish nor ~/.config/fish/completions/exa.fish

I could copy the exa.fish file from git, but this could create version inconsistencies.

Am I supposed to copy this file manually?

uh wtf. Debian didn’t include the shell completions in the package (and not the second man page that’s been introduced in 0.10.0…). I opened a bug on Debian’s side.

In the meantime, you can totally the copy the script matching your version with tags, e.g.: https://github.com/ogham/exa/tree/v0.10.1/ (thought right now the git version has fixes and no new flag has been added since latest release).

Note that this has been fixed as of exa 0.10.1-2, available in Debian testing and unstable.
