requirements

This tool is written in python (v2), and depends on coinkit library.

usage

python vanityBrain.py <vanity address starting> [args]

A script to find vanity address with seed of a givven parameters.

positional arguments:
	prefix       prefix of desired address, (not including the starting 1)

optional arguments:
	-h, --help   show this help message and exit
	-n           dont use electrum compatible search
	-d DICTFILE  dictionary file to take passphrase from
	-l LENGTH    length of desired passphrase
	-t MAXTRIES  maximum number of tries
	-i           case-insensitive vanity address search
	--version    show program's version number and exit

in default, this script looks for 12 words electrum compatible seed

known issues

A. make sure asked address has only base58 acceptable characters (123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyz)

B. estimate time for address generating and notify user of progress.

C. coinkit passphrases seems not to be used by any software, posiible to remove that option?

D. add hive algorythm.
