Pages are written in markdown (or html) using jekyll cms (which is static page generator - the raw pages are rendered to output using the theme and served up statically)
Markdown tutorial
- Extras: footnotes, toc on page, how to do glossary and relative links generally
We use jekyll - what’s the simplest explanation we can give of the metadata
