i just updated screencloud, and i want get back the older version.

the actual version is slowly responding, laggy or bugged i don't know.

when i use Shift+Alt+2 to take screen, it freeze to the message, during no time, i must use Ctrl+Alt+Supp to open the urgency page, and screencloud is responding. after this i can draw rectangle on screen, and i have to push multiple times Enter key before i get any response from screencloud.
it may happen that Enter key does nothing.

I'm not seeing the same problem on Windows. Is it slower everywhere or just when you capture a selection? Do you have multiple screens?

The "Save to file" option is not included in the current version, because I want to rework the UI for it.

Also, the old version is here if you want to downgrade: http://screencloud.net/files/windows/ScreenCloud-1.1.0-x86.msi

Why would you take out plugins that people use just because

I want to rework the UI for it.

I get it that you want to change these things but removing the feature full stop is not very useful to the people who use functions like that daily.

thanks, yes i use double screens, and it is not really slowlly, but really freezed.
only Ctrl+Alt+supp allow to unfreeze state.any other key does nothing except Windows button, that make starting menu appear but trying to lunch something make the application behind screencloud

Why would you take out plugins that people use just because "I want to rework the UI for it."

Several reasons:

  • The UI is a lot more complicated than it needs to be.
  • The "File" uploader used to be a part of the core application. This meant that I had to update the entire application if I wanted to fix a bug in it. I'm going to rewrite it as a plugin (like FTP and SFTP). This will allow me to update it independently of the main application.
  • I figured that most people use ScreenCloud to share via online services, so it wouldn't be an urgent thing to get ready for the new version.

It's not a difficult thing to rewrite, so I should be able to do it in the next few days and add it to the More Services list.

I've written a basic file plugin, see #51

I just installed Screencloud and set up the SFTP upload. Every time I capture selection, computer stops responding to mouse clicks or keyboard actions, except ctrl-alt-del, which resolves the problem and I can (after closing the Windows Security thing) proceed to select the wanted area and press enter to capture it.

  • OS: Win7 Ultimate 64bit SP1 (and up-to-date)
  • Three monitors

I also have the problem mentioned in issue #59 and another one too, Screencloud crashes when trying to browse path where to save a local copy of the captured picture (issue #63). Otherwise, Screencloud is so far working and uploads images to correct places.

Are you on 1.1.3 or 1.1.4? This used to happen in 1.1.3 because I tried to make the selection span multiple screens. I gave up on that feature and in 1.1.4 it will only cover one screen at a time.

Using 1.1.4, since I installed it like hour ago :)
I can help with debug-data, just tell me what I need to do!

I noticed that ScreenCloud works perfectly now, I updated my graphics drivers (AMD Radeon HD7970 dual crossfire, can't remember the exact version of drivers) and noticed it began working. So no unresponsiveness anymore \o/ Thanks for awesome application :) One suggestion though, you could implement uploading files (jpg, png, rar etc.) like puush, just right click the file and it would have "ScreenCloud upload..." or just from the UI, would be awesome!
