Korg Kontrol Editor

Your KORG nanoKONTROL2 first needs to be setup correctly in order for the nanometer-script to work. To do this, you must first download and install the Korg Kontrol Editor if you haven't done so already. It can be downloaded directly from KORG here.

Before you launch the Kontrol Editor, make sure that your nanoKONTROL2 is properly connected to your computer and that no other software that communicates with MIDI devices (FL Studio for instance) is running.

  1. Launch the KORG Kontrol Editor. It will display a list of target devices. If your nanoKONTROL2 is connected, it should appear in this list. Click OK.

  2. The editor will display a view of the button layout of the nanoKONTROL2.

  3. Click & Drag the icon of the nanometer.nktrl2_data file and drop it on the Kontrol Editor window. A dialog box will appear that asks if you want to save the changes. If your current scene-data settings are important to you, you can click Yes here and save them before you continue. Otherwise, click No.

  4. The numbers in the fields over the buttons should now look exactly like the picture below.

  5. Click on "Communication" in the Kontrol Editor menu and choose "Write Scene Data".

  6. A dialog box will appear that asks you to confirm that you wish to overwrite the old settings. Click OK.

The nanometer scene-data settings are now stored on your nanoKontrol2 unit. You can close the Kontrol Editor and resume with the installation of the script.
