I have a Galaxy Book4 Edge, 14-inch (model NP944XMA, a variant of the NP940XMA) that would be great to get working. |

Thanks, this is the kind of report that makes a board easy to take in. An omarchy-pkgs PR modelled on omacom/omarchy-pkgs#975 is the way in, with one change of base. Omarchy's ARM kernel is moving to Linux 7.3 in omacom/omarchy-pkgs#1417, which is in testing now, so build the PR against that recipe instead of 7.2.8. Neither 7.3 nor linux-next has a Book4 Edge tree, so the tree comes in as patches either way. Name the file To make it easy to review and to drop later, post the 15" tree to linux-arm-msm and carry exactly what you posted, with Antheas's authorship kept and your NP750XQA fixes as separate patches. Keep the PR to device-tree patches. @hegjon the 14" and 16" X1E models depend on the v8 series from 30 September, which isn't in 7.3 or linux-next either. Testing that series on 7.3 and replying on the list with a Tested-by is what moves it. |

Update on the 14" (NP944XMA): Omarchy 4.5.0rc1 now installs and runs as a daily desktop on it, with linux-omarchy 7.3 (omacom/omarchy-pkgs#1417) and the v8 Book4 Edge series. Everything is in https://github.com/hegjon/omarchy-galaxy-book4-edge.
Findings that matter for the v8 series and for stock Omarchy are in the README. In short:

I run Omarchy as my daily system on a Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 15" (NP750XQA, Snapdragon X Plus X1P42100). The model isn't on the Snapdragon list, so here is where it stands. I'd also like to ask how you'd want its device tree delivered.
The machine
SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD./Galaxy Book4 Edge/ boardNP750XQA-KB2USsamsung,galaxy-book4-edge-15,samsung,galaxy-book4-edge,qcom,x1p42100Where the device tree comes from
Mainline has no Book4 Edge device tree. The 14" and 16" series (v8, posted 2026-09-30) covers the X1E models only and has had no follow-up I can find. The 15" has never been posted to the list.
The 15" tree I run is Antheas Kapenekakis's, from
anatase-org/patchwork(branchanatase-7.2), built on the shared Book4 Edge work by Kirill Korinsky and Valentin Manea. That tree targets the sister SKU, the NP750XQB. My own work is the delta for the NP750XQA, which I've filed with Antheas as kernel-anatase#8.What works
Kernel

Four touchpad vendors ship in this chassis, so the node has to be probe-based.a6xx_gmu_set_freq()and I'm sending a fix to the msm maintainers.qcvss8380_pa.mbnfrom Windows.samsung-emuecdriver.I'm reporting the dock, UFS and HFP problems upstream (Anatase for the dock, linux-arm-msm/linux-scsi for UFS, linux-bluetooth for HFP), and I'll link the reports here.
Not tested yet
linux-omarchykernel. It has no tree for this model, so it can't boot it as-is.The question
Would you carry the Book4 Edge 15" device tree in
linux-omarchy-aarch64before it reaches mainline, the way omarchy-pkgs #975 carries the Surface Pro 11's tree? If yes, I'd open an omarchy-pkgs PR modelled on #955 (the Snapdragon device-tree PR): Antheas's 15" DTS with its authorship kept, my NP750XQA fixes as separate patches, and a test report. After that comes a board script onquattro. If you'd rather it go through mainline first, I'll put my effort there and keep this thread as the testing page.AI disclosure: I worked on these fixes and on this write-up with Claude (Claude Code). I tested every result above on the machine myself.
