1password for OpenGitOps maintainers is locked. We can read existing shared passwords, but not add new ones. this is a blocker for sharing new team account credentials
solution
1password for open source updated their policy. projects supported the 1 year auto-renew policy need to email them to request switching over. I've done this for a few CNCF projects now, so am familiar w the process. Here's what they say in the README
If you signed up for this program before November 26, 2021, please contact opensource@1password.com to convert your two-year membership into one that doesn't require renewal.
steps
email 1password open source team to move OpenGitOps account to the new model
They've gone ahead and renewed the promotion for us! This new promotion does not expire, meaning we don’t need to reach out to renew in the future for as long as we remain eligible for the program.
