OCI TOB Elections 2022 #104
Comments
FYI @opencontainers/tob |
https://opencontainers.org/about/governance is a 404 for me -- can we redirect it to https://github.com/opencontainers/tob/blob/main/CHARTER.md? |
I'm curious where the nominations can be found - in other words, is there a list of nominees that we can see ahead of the election kicking off? |
@geekygirldawn it's available only for OCI member organizations, I forwarded you a note and primary OCI contact for your company that will be responsible for the nomination |
Nominations are now closed, a ballot will be sent to voting contacts shortly. |
Amye, can you publicly list the nominees too :)?

As the new person to this process, is there a place where candidates can make their statements? |
We have names and bios here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UwyZso1iMSBzeUDR_F50gvpCQ29Gq7cUgPlnNWXR4dw/edit?resourcekey#gid=820747266 |
I meant statements like "If elected I will give everyone unicorns and rainbows". |
Yes, we do not currently have a process for that - nominations and bios are the statements submitted. |
I can do that :) |
To voters, here is my statement: If elected I will work with members of the TOB and the OCI community to improve the governance of the OCI project. I will specifically work towards defining, documenting and improving processes involved in getting features requested by stakeholders accepted into the various specification. These include:
|
@amye I seem to have not received a ballot on either of my email accounts. |

This nomination cycle seems to have had confusion around the fact that
nominations and voting is done by the _member_ seats, being: those that
paid money to the foundation to be a member.
Not an open nomination, nor open voting.

Ah right, now that I re-read (g) it makes more sense. Carry on. 😅 |
The maintainer chosen seats are the next cycle! |
OCI TOB election results are out: Phil Estes (Amazon) Thanks everyone who ran and participated, and outgoing TOB members :) We will post a blog post soon! |
