OH 1084: jetty error: Asynchronous processing not supported on Servlet 2.x container #571
Comments
"very frequently" - can you precise this a bit? Does it happen when you do not do any requests? Does it occur on a special request? (If so, which one?) Does it occur on ANY request? |
For example when using Paper UI or Basic UI. |
I don't think it is linked to a specific request but more a general problem, considering the amount of errors reported. |
So steps are:
Is that it?
So nothing special. What is the difference in your case? |
Yes except that I did not use the demo but my usual config files (items, sitemaps, ,,,). |
Hi Kai, I did the same on my Mac (so no docker involved here)
|
Cool, so no need for my new try. |
@martinvw Sorry, but I do not trust your description. When following it step by step, your log should definitely have some lines of when the extensions are being installed. Here is mine:
Also, your log suggests that you have requests to |
@kaikreuzer I really don't get any However I have I did a new reproduction, I just removed the contents of the userdata folder on my Mac and put the etc and tmp skeleton folders from the zip there again, see attachment After a lot of attempts where I did not remove the Btw contents of events.log:
|
Ah, sorry - I guess we are looking at different things. I copied the log from the console output. It is correct that the events do not end up in openhab.log, but only in events.log. |
@kaikreuzer I extended my message above with a new log which still reproduces the issue, however I'm also working on in an extended bug report for the other problem. |
Thanks. But
is still the case, right? |
No, I started it twice, and all those errors I see are after the respective 'Started Paper UI at /paperui' |
And I tried one final time (or actually two) the first time I might have forgot to clean all files and I did not have the error the second time I shut down the openhab, reset the userdata to the content of the distributable and voila the problem was there again: PS: maybe I did clean my folder but the problem just does not occur everytime? |
@lolodomo's SO link above claims that this exception is due to a missing bundle. On my installation it is there and correctly started. Could you run a
and post the output to see whether anything might be wrong there? |
It is and still that error keeps popping up |
I now have an installation which behaves the same way (and has the same active bundles). Interestingly, on all the working installations, all bundles are active, so we probably have some kind of startup issue:
|
@kaikreuzer It seems you introduced a regression that I fixed long time ago |
Wow, I never would have expected such an effect :-) Note to self: Never ever self-merge any PRs, especially not late at night when in a hurry, no matter how insignificant it appears... |
😉
Okay for me. Regardless if the revert, I will try to write a summary about our TP feature file handling. There is place for some improvements. |
Latest distro 1087 should have this regression fixed again! |
I am still having this issue Asynchronous processing not supported on Servlet 2.x container with distro 1099 ... is anyone able to confirm that? |
That is unexpected can you post the output of executing bundle:list on the karaf console? |
EDIT: I have started from scratch and now the error is gone. Sorry about the hassle! |
Unfortunately I'm seeing this error. It started after I upgraded to the latest stable version in the apt repository (RPi). All is fine until I start a basic UI then it dumps the same error into the log about every five seconds or so. Interestingly, if I use the classic UI all is fine. Would upgrading to a snapshot build address this? I would tell you what version I'm currently running if I knew where to find it. It doesn't appear to go into the log on restart. |
EDIT: ORIGINAL:
No bindings installed yet, i have only setup some sample items and a single sitemap. As reported previously it happens when using BasicUI or PaperUI. As soon as i use BasicUI, three errors are displayed various places at the same time:
|
I just tried the latest 2.3.0 snapshot an got this error: The scripts i used to install this version is:
|
Same error coming very frequently:
One of the result is that Basic UI is considered as not connected.
Switch back to snapshot 1065.
