Adjust fonts and font sizes

The new layout has an awkward whitespace-to-text ratio, with the fonts being plain and tiny with way too much whitespace between them:

Could we adjust the font sizes for better whitespace-to-text ratios, and maybe adjust the font family to be a bit more modern?

The fonts are larger on my computer. Of course, the amount of white space will depend on how wide you make the window.

This was normal full-screen browser size (the default?) on a MacBook Pro 13-inch 2019 model running Chrome.

Is there a way to make this less machine-dependent? I feel like a website that only works well on your computer is not ideal.
