Since 74155a9 we have a onewayCheck field now (see #3060 (comment))

We never supported oneway=1 or oneway=-1 before because we were just using a normal checkbox field. (A checkbox with anything other than yes just renders as an empty box neither checked nor labelled).

But now that we have a special checkbox field for oneway, we can support these commonly used values.
