When locking a branch (using a branch protection rule), it would be great to be able to specify a user-visible message in addition. Currently, when a branch is locked, users just see a generic "you can't merge to this branch" message. It's a bit awkward; everyone wants to know "what's going on? why can't I merge!?!?!?"
It would be great if the admin could include a message (e.g.: "Branch is locked during May while we complete release testing"). Can y'all consider adding such a feature?
