With Agent Merge, Copilot watches your pull request and automatically fixes blockers, (e.g., failing Actions workflows and merge conflicts) that stand in the way of getting your pull request merged.
Already available in the GitHub Copilot app and Visual Studio Code, Agent Merge is now integrated into pull requests on GitHub. This helps you get your pull requests merged faster wherever you work.
To get started, select Watch and fix in your pull request's merge box. You can choose whether Copilot should fix failing Actions workflows, resolve merge conflicts, or both. When a selected blocker appears, Copilot starts working in a cloud development environment to fix it.
Want Copilot to unblock every pull request you open? You can enable Agent Merge by default for all your pull requests from your Copilot settings.
You can combine Agent Merge with auto-merge. This way Copilot gets and keeps your pull request ready to merge, and GitHub merges it as soon as all requirements are met.
Agent Merge in the cloud is available to users with a paid Copilot plan, subject to applicable organization and enterprise policies. To learn more, see the GitHub Docs.
