Stale Claude and Codex contributors after history rewrite — support tickets closed (similar to #205703)

Hello GitHub Community,

I'm the owner of [HenriquePvAr/Tradutor.Ia](https://github.com/HenriquePvAr/Tradutor.Ia).

I'm reporting an issue with stale contributor attribution after rewriting my repository's Git history.

What happened

Claude and Codex were incorrectly credited as co-authors because older commits contained Co-Authored-By trailers added by AI coding tools.

I rewrote the main branch history to remove these attributions and force-pushed the corrected history on October 25, 2026, at 19:11 UTC.

However, both accounts still appear in the repository's contributor listing after more than 24 hours.

What I've already tried

• Removed the unwanted co-author trailers from the default branch history.
• Force-pushed the corrected commits.
• Waited more than 24 hours for GitHub's contributor statistics to refresh.
• Opened support tickets #4910065 and #4913731. Both were closed because my account has access only to self-service support.

Similar issue resolved by GitHub staff

I found a nearly identical case in [GitHub Community Discussion #205703](https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/205703).

In that discussion, a GitHub staff member (@ktravers) refreshed the contributor statistics, and the repository owner confirmed that the issue was resolved.

Expected result

Only contributors correctly attributed in the repository's current default-branch history should appear in the contributor listing.

Actual result

Claude and Codex continue to appear as contributors.

Could a GitHub staff member please investigate and refresh the contributor statistics for my repository, as was done in discussion #205703?
