Hello there, Deadcode is here. This sounds like it may be an account-level restriction, especially since you can still push to existing repos but can’t create new ones. The community can’t see account restrictions or your support ticket, so only GitHub Support can confirm that. Since you already contacted Support, I’d reply to the ticket and ask them to specifically check whether repository creation is restricted on your personal account. Include the exact error, when it started, and whether creating a repo with the GitHub CLI gives the same result. Hope you the best !! |

Hello GitHub Community,
I am unable to create new repositories under my personal GitHub account.
Whenever I try to create a new repository, GitHub displays the error:
"Repository creation failed."
Here is what I have confirmed:
I also contacted GitHub Support (Ticket #4940813), but the ticket was closed with a reference to self-service resources.
Has anyone experienced this issue, or can a GitHub staff member help determine whether there is an account-level restriction or a technical issue?
Thank you.
