Web + console app

In a leaf project, I have a web frontend and a console script/utility to do periodic maintenance and other tasks. The models and the database are the same. Will be better to have two different directory app, one for the web and one for the console, or is better/possible to have one directory with both web and console together?

i'd keep them in one project. leaf mvc already ships a console (php leaf) and you can add your own commands that use the same models and db config as the web side:

php leaf g:command maintenance
php leaf maintenance

that drops a command class in app/console, then you just call your models inside handle(). for periodic stuff point cron at it, e.g. 0 3 * * * cd /path/to/app && php leaf maintenance. two separate apps just means duplicating models and config for nothing.
