Early Access is officially open 🎉
We're excited to open the first wave of early access invitations for Modela — a collaborative, open, SaaS-based BIM platform built for AEC professionals who are ready for a better way to work.
If you're an architect working with BIM and you've ever felt like your tools cost too much, lock you into proprietary formats, or simply weren't designed with your actual workflow in mind — we built this for you.
What is Modela?
Modela is an integrated platform designed to cover the full project lifecycle, bringing together the tools AEC professionals actually need — in one place, working together from day one.
Core modules:
Platform:
On data ownership:
Your data is yours. Modela is built around open, portable formats — interoperable with the major tools already in use in the industry. No lock-in.
On pricing:
SaaS subscription model — a small fraction of the cost of traditional BIM licensing, with plans designed to work for solo practitioners, growing teams, and larger firms alike.
Where we are right now
Modela is in active development. The CAD drawing editor and BIM modeling editor are currently in beta. Permits and Budgets are in alpha stage.
Early Access means exactly that: you get real access to the platform as we build it. Some features are still incomplete or may change — that's the nature of being here early. What you get in return is the ability to shape the product directly.
This Discussions space is our primary channel for feedback, bug reports, feature requests, and conversation. We read everything.
Who should apply?
This first wave is focused on:
No cost during the Early Access period.

If you already have access, drop a comment below and introduce yourself — where you're based, what kind of projects you work on, and what you're most interested in testing. We'd love to know who's in the room.
A note on transparency
We're a small team building something we believe the AEC industry genuinely needs. We're sharing progress openly, and we'd rather have honest conversations about limitations than overpromise. If something doesn't work the way you'd expect, tell us — that's exactly why you're here early.
Welcome to Modela. 👋
